Support

In short

Renqingbu has no account, no server, and no cloud copy of your ledger. There is nothing we can reset or recover from our side — but that also means the fix is usually on the phone in your hand, and we can help you find it.

Getting in touch

Write to digitalpublishingco@proton.me.

Please include:

  • Your iPhone model
  • Your iOS version (Settings › General › About)
  • What you were doing when it went wrong

A screenshot helps more than a description. This is a small operation, so a reply may take a couple of days.

Purchases

If you paid and the app has not unlocked, tap Restore purchases on the purchase screen first. That asks Apple directly, not us, and it is the fix for most cases — a new phone, a reinstall, or a purchase that was interrupted.

If it still does not appear, write and tell us which Apple ID you bought with, and we will check it against our purchase records. Refunds are handled by Apple from your own purchase history; we have no way to issue one ourselves.

Your data

Your ledger lives in a database on your phone, and travels with your phone's normal backup. We cannot see it, which also means we cannot restore it for you.

  • Moving to a new phone — restore the new one from a backup of the old one.
  • Deleting the app deletes the ledger with it. Export it first if you want to keep it.
  • Keeping a copy — the app can export the whole book as CSV or PDF.

The amounts

Every figure in the calculator carries its source, shown next to the figure in the app. They are cultural reference points compiled from published Taiwanese sources, not financial advice, and where sources disagree the range widens rather than being averaged into false confidence.

If a figure looks wrong for your region or your family, write and tell us. That is genuinely useful — it is how the dataset gets better.
